About Mahidol Wittayanusorn School (MWIT)

Established in 1990, Mahidol Wittayanusorn School (MWIT) is the first science and mathematics school in Thailand, providing a specialized education for high school students who are exceptionally talented in science, mathematics and technology.

Mahidol Wittayanusorn School (MWIT) which in its English translation means “Prince Mahidol Memorial Science School”, is located in Salaya, Nakhon Pathom. The school is funded by the government. Besides fulfilling the national curriculum requirement of the Ministry of Education for nationwide public and private schools, MWIT has a well-designed curriculum with a high degree of specialization in mathematics and science as well as a requirement for each student to complete a science project. In addition, MWIT offers a variety of elective courses in areas of the student’s interest. The conception of MWIT is the result of the country’s vision to produce well-rounded, responsible individuals with high capacity in science, mathematics and technology, who also have a commitment to contribute to the country’s future competitiveness.

Mahidol Wittayanusorn School

MWIT takes pride in nurturing and developing exceptionally gifted Grade 10-12 students. The number of our school’s annual enrollment of new students is 240, with a total of 720 students across three grades. Each class is limited to 24 students in order to maintain an optimum teacher to student ratio for enhanced interaction and learning experience. MWIT is a public and autonomous boarding school governed by a school board and managed by a school principal who reports directly to the Minister of Education.
